I’m Judi Burgan, an attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry, where I’ve worked across Legal and Compliance roles involving healthcare , research, and HIPAA compliance. Throughout much of my career, I served on hospital ethics committees—work that profoundly shaped how I view planning, decision‑making, and the impact legal documents have on real families during difficult moments.

Time and again, I witnessed the stress, conflict, and heartbreak that can arise when future planning is unclear or incomplete. Those experiences are what ultimately drew me to focus my practice on helping clients put thoughtful, meaningful plans in place. My goal is always the same: to help each client create documents that truly reflect their values, protect the people they care about, and accomplish what matters most to them.

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in biology from McKendree College and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law, where I also earned a Certificate in Health Law. In addition, I hold a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Health Care Ethics from Saint Louis University’s Department of Health Care Ethics.
